Description
A reinforced stainless steel telescopic whip that extends up to 5.6m to form a resonant 1/4 wave. Basically a poor man’s MFJ-1979!
These whips are an incredibly versatile thing to have in your toolbox – use 1 as a 1/4 wave ground plane vertical (20m up to 6m), 2 of them back to back to make a dipole (again, 20m up to 6m), or 2 in a V with a bit of wire across the tips to make a full wave loop (15m up to 6m). Being made from stainless steel, they are high strength, and should stay rust free for life. Do note that the screw thread is M10 and not the usual 3/8-24 thread found on most mounts, so you will either need an adaptor, or at least take this into consideration if home brewing your own.
