Xiegu X6200

Description

Introducing the new Xiegu X6200, an ultra-portable HF transceiver coming soon. As it has not been officially released or listed on the Xiegu homepage yet, we don’t have all the details, but this is what we know so far.

The X6200 employs RF direct sampling architecture, offering full-mode transceiver capabilities for all of HF plus 50MHz (6m band). This means you can enjoy clear and reliable communication across a wide range of frequencies. It also supports broadcast FM reception (WFM) and air band (AM) reception. This allows you to listen to a variety of broadcasts, including aviation frequency bands.

The built-in automatic antenna tuner is another feature that sets this transceiver apart. This ensures optimal performance by automatically adjusting the antenna to its best operating condition. No more manual tuning or guesswork; the device does it all for you.

Power output looks set to be 5 watts on the internal battery, and 8w via an external supply. It’s not clear what the capacity of the internal battery will be, at this point. The battery pack is easily removable, so you should be a able to have a couple of them and swap them out as needed for longer operation.

The Xiegu X6200 also features network remote control support. This means you can control the device remotely, over the internet or local network, a feature that was recently added to the X6100 in a firmware update. Whether you’re at home or on the move, you can always stay connected.

The integrated standing wave scanner and “voice pager” add to the device’s versatility. The standing wave scanner allows you to monitor the performance of your antenna system, while the voice pager sounds like a way to pre-record a CQ call and play it back over the air.

The device also comes with an integrated modem, preset text messages, and automatic CW calling. These features make it easier for you to communicate and stay connected. Whether you’re sending a quick message or making a call, the Xiegu transceiver makes it simple and straightforward.

The high-stability TCXO internal clock source ensures accurate timing and frequency stability. This means you can rely on the device for precise communication, even in challenging conditions.
